Conflict is Like a Campfire: Don’t Be the Kindling

Monica Leggett

May 4, 2020
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm EDT
ICW Webinar

ICF-Connecticut is excited that this Webinar is part of Raise the Bar Webinar: 5 Themes 5 Days of Learning, an event created to share the power of coaching with our community during ICW 2020 (May 4–8). Join us for more FREE Webinars representing a wide variety of coaching specializations during this week.

A difference of opinion can lead to emotional and uncomfortable conflict which can lead to deteriorating relationships. With the right skills and some mindful awareness, states of dissonance can also be an opportunity to understand yourself and others better; to make new choices that will actually help your relationships grow. It all begins with you.

This webinar will explore:

Factors that can cause conflict to ignite and grow.
Ways to prevent or distinguish conflict.
Antidotes to eight Relationship Toxins that wreak havoc in our relationships and are often at the core of our conflict. With “antidotes,” relationships can be resilient, even in the face of stress and differences of opinion.

Bring your own personal or professional “conflict-laden” relationship or situation in mind. You’ll be given the opportunity to make specific intentions for how you can get some new results.

Key takeaways of attending:
A new awareness of the components that lead to and amplify conflict.
Eight relationship toxins and the eight antidotes that can make relationships more resilient.
New choices for preventing conflict or putting out the fire.
A specific goal for one of your relationships, with options of ways to take action.
