Nominations Update

Hello, members!

The nominations process is in full swing! There are two open positions:

President-Elect — This position requires that the candidate be a current or previous ICF-CT board member.

Technology Chair — This position has an active and strong committee of volunteers. The best chair for this committee is someone who enjoys and has some experience in technology. The Chair provides leadership for the chapter’s use of technology to keep online systems current, provide information, and help meet the needs of members. This includes working with others to maintain and advance our website, social media platforms, PayPal, Zoom, Google and other systems as needed. The Chair is the main liaison to the chapter's virtual assistant (who is terrific!).
BONUS: Steve Porcaro, our current Chair, will be available to mentor and help the new Chair.

We look forward to hearing from you, in support of yourself or another member, to take on a leadership role within ICF-CT. Please contact education@icf-ct.org.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Given the concerns regarding the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are converting our March in-person meeting to a virtual format.  We are making this a FREE event for ANYONE, member or not. If you know someone who has thought about coaching, or is not a member of ICF but is a coach, please invite them to join us.

These times are concerning, and we are constantly monitoring the situation to determine if future meetings and events will be held in-person or virtually. For the months of March and April we will hold all meetings and Coach Cafes in a virtual format.

We will be updating the events on the website and in your ICF-CT Weekly email.

Please note that there are wonderful resources available to members on the ICF Global website under COVID-19 Guidelines for Coaches.

We have moved the planned program to May (with some new additions), and instead will host a modified version of networking this month to include:

60 second introductions for everyone on the call: share name, hometown, niche, and something creative you are doing to stay “germ free.”

Discussion with communities of practice: internal coaches, executive coaches (paid by stakeholder), and personal coaches (client pays the coach directly). We are planning to set up breakout rooms for 10 minutes or so.
Group Ask/Share – any questions, requests or offers by members
Join us for the first of many virtual meetings in this new reality.

Registration is required to get the Zoom access code.

If you already registered for the original March meeting, we will refund your money.

Please put the following date on your calendar:
April 24th, 8 am to 9:30 am. Virtual Chapter Meeting: Coaching Trends and Artificial Intelligence.

We are also working on a plan to make our Coach Cafés into a Virtual Coffee Chat. Watch for more details.

Please stay involved with the chapter through our Forum page (for members) and our social media pages.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to members of the board.

Thanks,

Monica Leggett, PCC
ICF Connecticut President
