Hello everyone!

I’m so excited about our member involvement with our fall in-person events! Both September (Lift as You Rise) and November (Seasonal Recharge) were so well received and created so much energy! One theme that emerged was interest in getting involved on the committee level. There were so many questions about how to get involved and what that involvement entailed that it seemed appropriate to share the information with everyone.

First Question - What committees are looking for members? ICF-CT has the following committees in place: Credentialing Support, Culture & Belonging, Programs, On-site Meeting Management, Marketing, Membership, and Technology. While all our directors would welcome new committee members, Culture & Belonging and Programs would be extra excited to have new members!

Second Question – Who heads up each committee? Each committee is led by a director, who is also a member of the ICF-CT Board of Directors.

Third Question – What’s involved in being a committee member? The responsibilities of a committee member vary by committee, and each director works with the committee member to involve them in ways that align with each person’s interests and availability.

Fourth Question – What are the benefits of joining a committee? Committee members have an opportunity to build leadership skills, enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team, and contribute to the well-being of coaching and coaches in Connecticut.

Additionally, involvement in a committee is necessary for involvement on the board level (no pressure to advance to that level – just in case you’re interested). Plus, all committee members receive a 50% discount on our Programs & Events Pass – just $95 for a full year of ICF-CT offerings!

Final Question – How do I get involved? Simply reach out to Stephanie Tishler (ICF-CT board member and President Emeritus), at pastpresident@icf-ct.org, who will answer any further questions you have and connect you with the director of the committee you’re interested in learning more about. Many hands make light work, and as an organization that is 100% led by volunteers, ICF-CT always welcomes members to get involved!

As always, feel free to reach out to me directly to find out more, talk coaching, or simply connect. I hope to see you – either virtually or in-person at an upcoming event. Until then,

Keep sparkling!
