Hello everyone,
This is the year of shifts for the Board of Directors! To begin, and most importantly, we’d like to congratulate Robyn Greenspan on her new position as Executive Function Coach at the Forman School. This full-time internal coaching position represents an unexpected and amazing opportunity for Robyn, and has prompted some deep reflection. The end result: Robyn had decided to step back from the president-elect position. As she observed, “the time needed to support, develop and continue the progress is not available to me and my decision is also fueled by not being able to service the chapter in a way it deserves. Basically, I don’t have the availability to do what is best for the chapter.”
While we will miss her in the role of president-elect, we now have the opportunity to welcome her into the role of co-director of programs. As many of you know, our current director of programs, Megan Lye, is about to welcome her second child into the world, and has asked for extra support so that she may continue serving the chapter. Robyn and Megan have worked together extensively, serving a co-chairs of both the 2026 conference and the 2027 conference committees. We are excited to have this dynamic duo in place, ready to provide our membership with a full range of programming opportunities!
This shift leaves the position of president-elect vacant. Thankfully, this gap has been filled - or at least there is an ICF Global-approved plan in place. Lynda Mettler will be stepping down from her role as director of credentialing, so that she may be on the ballot to serve the chapter as president for the two-year 2027-2029 presidential term. As Lynda has been on the board for four years, she finds herself in the position of needing to leave the board now due to term limits, in order to serve the board in the future. Stepping off the board at this time will allow her to serve the two-year presidential term as well as the one-year immediate past president term. We are beyond grateful for all that Lynda has done for the chapter, and for her being willing to make these shifts in order to be considered for the role of chapter president. Lynda will continue to co-host the professional enrichment offering: Applying Core Competencies to Promote Best Practices, along with Naomi Rafalowicz.
Mid-term board vacancies are filled via board vote, and the board has appointed Monica Leggett, a current credentialing support committee member, to fill the role of Credentialing Support Director for the remainder of the 2026-2027 term.
As a board, we continue to be excited for the year ahead. Our in-person September chapter program provided an inspiring community-building event, leaving everyone who attended energized and ready for more opportunities to connect, develop and expand! We look forward to seamlessly serving you, our ICF Connecticut coaching community.
As always, feel free to reach out to me directly to find out more, talk coaching, or simply connect.
Keep sparkling!
